Music & Worship

Here at Haltom City Christian Church, we believe music is an
important part of our worship. The Bible is full of scriptures that tell us to
sing to the Lord. We were created to worship God.

In our worship services we sing traditional hymns as well as new praise and
worship songs. We use many instruments including: organ, piano, drums, guitar,
and flute to help us lead the corporate worship services. We project song
lyrics as we sing to enhance our worship.

In the spring of 2008 we just completed an initiative to update our style of
worship. We are constantly looking at how we might use the worship arts and
multimedia to present God’s message to the contemporary mind. We are
experiencing how these provide us with fresh perspectives and reminders to the
relevance of God’s message and Love.

Our church has two choirs that meet each week to sing together songs of praise
and gratitude to God.

Our Youth Choir and Drama Team meet each Sunday at 5:30 pm to practice songs and dramas to share during worship services and special programs during the year. Adult Choir meets at 6:30 pm every Sunday to share God through song. We love to sing and fellowship with each other. We work through a few pieces of
music each week to get them ready to share the congregation on Sunday mornings.

“Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.” - Psalm 96:1
